is a UK-based Christian charity founded in 1996 that provides free, professional debt counseling, money management, job clubs, and life skills groups. Working through local churches, CAP helps people regardless of religious beliefs to overcome debt, poverty, and unemployment

Services available

You will be asked a series of questions and given the name of the person who will contact you and your appointment time. Once you have this please make sure you have collected all your documentation in one place, bills, income/outgoings (bank statements are great), benefits you get and all your letters you may have received about overdue payments and debt collection agencies ready for your appointment.

When you go to them for debt advice, they’ll show you all the different debt solutions out there so you’ve got a clear idea of your options and how each could help you.

They can also advise you on the best solution for your circumstances, plus any other options that might work for you.

If you’d like, they can set up a debt solution that fits your situation, lowers your repayments and gives you the chance to move forward with your life the way it should be: without debt being part of it.
