Free School Meals

If you have a child attending a Sheffield school or maintained nursery, you may be entitled to free school meals if you receive some benefits:

Free Travel to School

Children between the age of 5 and 16 (Reception to Y11) may qualify for free school travel support if they go to their Catchment or the nearest available qualifying state funded school in Sheffield and the walking distance from their permanent home address to school meets the requirements, and you are qualifying benefits.

Special Education Needs

Sheffield SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SSENDIAS) is a statutory service. It offers impartial, confidential support to children and young people (0-25) who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their parents/carers.

Help can be accessed for many needs..

School Catchment Areas

Each school in Sheffield has a designated catchment area from which it admits its pupils. Your home will be within one of these geographical areas, defined by your postcode and house number.

Living in a catchment area does not guarantee a place at that school..
